This one is important. This one is personal. We all know someone fighting this. It isn’t hard to make a difference. While I can’t cure breast cancer. and you can’t cure breast cancer, together we might be able to find a way to beat this disease. Please read the following sent to me by a dear friend:

hi everybody,
This year, I’ll be participating in a very special event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day.i hate soliciting for money. i hate being solicited to donate. i hate even more feeling obligated to give. don’t feel obligated. if you can give a buck, give. if not, then please forward this to someone you know who might be willing to donate.

I’ll walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

I’ve agreed to raise at least $2,200 in donations. I’ve set my personal goal at [$amount]. So I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation? Keep in mind how far I’m walking - and how hard I’ll have to train. You can give online at www.The3Day.org. Just follow the link below to visit my personal fundraising webpage and make a donation. You can

According to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, approximately 200,000 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and nearly 40,000 will die from the disease. That’s why I’m walking so far. To do something bold about breast cancer. I hope that you’ll share this incredible adventure with me - by supporting me in my fundraising efforts.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Sincerely,
dee ann and potato

P.S. Ask your employer if they will double your donation through a matching gift program! Click here to visit my personal page.
For more information about the Breast Cancer 3-Day, Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund, visit http://www.the3day.org/ or call 800.996.3DAY.

I’m going to round up all of my spare change/cheeseburger money, and send it in a healthier direction. If any of you are interested in donating to this worthy cause please follow the 3day link to the right.

That went very poorly

What is it about interviewing that turns me into a complete idiot. I’m a pretty smart person. I have smart thoughts. I communicate them well. But for some reason when I get into an interview, I turn into an absolute moron.

Example: There is a particular section of schooling that did not go well for me. I attempted to take on some masters work at the Academy of Art about a week after my 2nd daughter was born. It naturally didn’t go well.

I wanted to keep this information off of the table not just because it hurt my chances of getting employed, but disclosure in this instance wasn’t indicative of performance under “normal” circumstances.

Instead I lead off with “I’m not doing well at AAU.”

If the CIA is reading this, you can cross me off of your candidate list right now.

4 day’s 8 weeks . . .

I just finished a 4 day assignment that started in December. I’ve been just a little busy. Couldn’t ask for a better situation. I have an interview scheduled for this afternoon. I’m excited. I hope it goes well. I’ll report back when it is over.
