Escaping the Doldrums
It’s been a while since the last post. I apologize. You may have noticed that people are hard to track down during the holidays. I’ve noticed it. You get a lot of voice mail and “I’m out of the office” auto responders in your inbox. It’s a space of time known as the Holiday Doldrums. This space of time between the office party and recovering from the post new year hangover, is a difficult time to land a job.
It is however, a good time to be a freelancer. I spoke to recruiters at both The Creative Group and The Creative Circle, two of the more visible creative staffing firms here in San Francisco. I’ll be talking more about my experience with these companies in a later episode.
